The Onebright difference

Good to know

Parents are encouraged to be a positive and proactive part of the treatment process, including by attending the first assessment session, where the therapist will assess your child and explain the course of treatment.

Your therapist will encourage your child to talk about their thoughts and feelings and what's troubling them.

A BABCP accredited therapist helps you and your child to understand the relationship between:

Unhelpful Behaviours (e.g. avoidance)
Thinking distortions (like catastrophising or always looking at the worst part of the experience)
Being in negative emotional states (like anxiety, stress or depression)
Physical symptoms (such as lack of energy, nausea or palpitations)
Traumatic life events
Please bear in mind that children and young people recover at different rates, and your therapist will review their progress at each session.
On average, we would expect a client to completed between 6 - 12 sessions over four to six months.
Our evidence-based therapies allow the young person to safely discuss their issues, which may include:

Excessive shyness and social anxiety disorder
Generalised anxiety disorder and excessive worry
Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD)
Panic disorder and separation anxiety
Low mood and depressive disorders
