Your therapist will encourage your child to talk about their thoughts and feelings and what's troubling them.
A BABCP accredited therapist helps you and your child to understand the relationship between:
Unhelpful Behaviours (e.g. avoidance)
Thinking distortions (like catastrophising or always looking at the worst part of the experience)
Being in negative emotional states (like anxiety, stress or depression)
Physical symptoms (such as lack of energy, nausea or palpitations)
Traumatic life events
On average, we would expect a client to completed between 6 - 12 sessions over four to six months.

Parents are encouraged to be a positive and proactive part of the treatment process, including by attending the first assessment session, where the therapist will assess the client and explain the course of treatment.
