Psychiatry

Psychiatrists are doctors trained to diagnose and treat mental, behavioural and emotional disorders. All our consultant psychiatrists either work or have worked as consultant psychiatrists in the NHS.
If you are worried about your mental health, reach out for an assessment. An assessment can be the gateway to getting what you need to get back on track. Getting support early can be very beneficial, so don’t wait until things become very serious.

Neurodiversity

Neurodiversity is the idea that people have different ways of thinking, different viewpoints, and different skill sets. Specifically, neurodiversity refers to people with conditions such as autism, ADHD, dyslexia, and Tourette’s.

How psychiatry works

No matter which psychiatrist you see in the first instance, they will develop a treatment plan for you and will then refer you to a therapist if that’s appropriate. Your consultant psychiatrist will also advise on medication if that is needed.
