Experience
Sarah joined Onebright in 2013 with over 12 years experience as a Cognitive Behaviour Therapist working in a variety of NHS services including Secondary Psychotherapy Services and Liaison Psychiatry. As well as working as a Senior Therapist, and providing supervision for junior therapists, Sarah developed and managed CBT services in the NHS. Before training as a Cognitive Behaviour Therapist she worked as a Mental Health Nurse for 5 years.
Sarah is a highly accomplished clinician, supervisor and trainer who is dedicated to working with clients to overcome their problems. She is also trained and experienced in Schema Therapy and Compassion Focused Therapy.
In addition to her independent practice, Sarah works at a University as a Senior Clinical Tutor on one of the London IAPT high intensity Post Graduate Diploma in CBT programmes. Her role here includes delivering teaching and training, and provision of high-quality clinical supervision to help ensure therapists achieve and maintain the CBT competencies required to be effective therapists.
Sarah’s special interests include working with people suffering from depression, low self-esteem, anxiety disorders, psychological difficulties associated with long term medical conditions, and post and peri natal depression and anxiety disorders.
