Booking your assessment
Therapy can be extremely beneficial, whether you’re struggling with anxiety, depression or a number of other mental health and wellbeing challenges.
All our therapy assessments and sessions are carried out online. Here are the steps and how they work.
Get in touch with Onebright
Simply complete one of our contact forms. Or, if you’d like to talk through why you feel you need support, you can call us on 020 8175 4908. One of our clinical liaison team will be able to answer any immediate questions you have.
We’ll then match you with the right clinician for your needs. We’ll set up your first appointment, at a time that works well for you, and take your credit card details. This is to cover the cost of your first assessment session.
If you decide you want to continue with therapy you will be charged automatically, 48 hours before each therapy session begins.
Meet your therapist
At the end of your initial assessment, your therapist will talk to you about your treatment plan: how it will work, what to expect and how long it may take. They will identify the issues you’re struggling with and set some targets for getting to a positive end-point.
Your treatment will be based on practice in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and/or Eye Movement Desensitisation Reprocessing (EMDR), Interpersonal Psychotherapy (IPT), Trauma Focussed CBT. Once you have a full picture of how your therapy sessions will work, you can decide if it’s for you.
Agree your ideal plan
If your answer to therapy is ‘yes’, we’ll organise a treatment schedule that’s designed for your needs, at times that suit you. If you and your therapist agree that CBT isn’t the right approach, we’ll take the time to discuss why, and suggest an alternative.

Quality Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) stands out from other forms of therapy or types of counselling because of the emphasis on evidence-based practice. For our clients, this means that they are receiving quality conventional professional therapy based on the very latest research.
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy is a way of helping people to cope with stress and emotional problems. It helps us to look at the connections between how we think, how we feel and how we behave. It particularly concentrates on ideas that are unrealistic. These often undermine our self-confidence and make us feel depressed or anxious. Looking at these unrealistic ideas can help us work out different ways of thinking and behaving that in turn will help us cope better. Cognitive Behavioural Therapy looks at how problems from the past are maintained in the “here and now”. It helps people to learn new methods of coping and problem-solving, which they can use for the rest of their lives.
Whichever method you feel most comfortable with, we are here to support you.
Both in-person and online CBT therapy has high levels of governance and supervision that you would expect of any BABCP accredited therapist. This means you can be sure that your treatment will be effective and appropriate for you.
