Experience
Caroline has been involved with Onebright for nearly a decade. Initially she worked as a part-time Network therapist. She is a senior clinician, and a valued member of the clinical team. Caroline worked in the NHS for 15 years, holding a range of roles and responsibilities including research, leadership, supervision, consultation, and clinical governance alongside her clinical caseload.
She is committed to service and skills development, for herself and the team; to ensure effective and ethical treatment delivery within a reflective practice framework. She supports and mentors staff working at Onebright, supporting effective treatment within a collaborative and caring organisational culture.
Before her training in psychology and psychological therapy she was a chef, so she has a good grounding in fast paced environments.
Caroline is a Clincal Psychologist and Cognitive Behavioural Practitioner. Her strengths lie within pragmatic and personalised psychological therapy. Caroline has a straightforward approach, which has been phrased as ‘firm compassion’ by one of her supervisors.
She enjoys working within the CBT model as it is transparent, collaborative, and pragmatic; giving a clear roadmap to support people in their goals and hopes for the future.
Qualifying as a Clincal psychologist in 2010 and as a CBT therapist in 2014; she is a seasoned clinician and supervisor. She has a thirst for knowledge and continues to train in her areas of special interest.
She provides specialist treatment across the spectrum of Trauma presentations, from Psychological First aid, through to PTSD, Complex PTSD, childhood trauma, prolonged grief as well as personality and relationship difficulties as a sequalae to early traumatic events. Her focus on reclaiming/creating life in trauma work has led her to a psychosexual therapy work, after a sexual assault or rape. Additionally, she provides expert diagnostic reports, with differential diagnosis and effective treatment plans.
